The Encouraging Letter
So many people have been encouraging as they are learning about our Climb, telling stories of their own adventures on Mt. Rainier. Here are excerpts from an encouraging letter that you might enjoy:
"We were awakened by our guides at midnight to discover a full moon lighting the mountain...
I can still see the sparks from my crampons scrambling on the lava of Disappointment Cleaver...
The sunrise was incredible,
starting with the faintest band of deep blue, changing to close, sharp
lines of red and yellow, just like the pictures of sunrise taken from
earth orbit."
