Firefox extension for taking screenshot directly in the browser – cool!

It’s called ScreenGrab.  It’s free and takes about 1 minute to setup.

This one is so useful for me.  I take a lot of screenshots, mostly for sharing an aspect of a website with someone via email or in creating a specs document for a new website that I am building.  Before installing this AWESOME extension in my browser Firefox, I had to:

  1. take a screenshot of the entire page
  2. open photoshop
  3. paste in photoshop
  4. crop in photoshop
  5. name the file in photoshop
  6. export as a jpg from photoshop

Now all I have to do is:

  1. right-click on the web page that I want to screenshot
  2. select either full page or page selection
  3. name the file – VOILA!  That’s it!

A jpg or png version of my screenshot is now saved on my computer and ready to use.  Genius.
